Whether you’re a long-time, hardcore fanatic of the band (The Mighty Nach Army, anyone?), or just a casual music fan who appreciates live, energetic performances, “SCOTumentary” has something for everyone. Scottish Moon included.

This is ALBANNACH as you’ve NEVER seen them before.

The first half of the DVD is backstage tour footage of the band as they traverse America and Scotland, and accurately showcases the rigours of the lifestyle that goes with being a member of a tribal rock band on tour. It’s not all fun and games, and it’s not as glamorous as one might think.

This is as close as you’re going to get to actually being there. Along the way, the band manages to have fun and banter back and forth like the family unit they are, but a true appreciation for what they go through is realized as you watch them load the equipment into the van and hit the road for a non-stop drive cross country for the next gig.

The second half of the DVD is live footage shot in Ft Myers, FL early last year, and this, more than anything, captures what makes this band unique- it’s live show. It’s why so many fans say an ALBANNACH show is akin to a religious experience. It’s no exaggeration. There are many Celtic bands out there, but only one ALBANNACH. You don’t just SEE this band. You FEEL this band.

This DVD is, in short, a masterpiece. Forget everything you think you know about this band. SCOTumentary tells the TRUE story of ALBANNACH – as told by the members themselves.

This documentary deserves to be on your DVD shelf alongside Motley Crue Uncensored, Kiss Unmasked, and any other definitive showcase DVD. Yeah, it’s THAT good.

Rating: PG13 – The DVD contains a small amount of mature content & a few moments of (slightly) strong language.
